The coach is equipped with toilet facili¬ ties, a heating system, ven¬ tilators, radio, small tables to rest on, chair arms and blankets, etc. Since 1947 three more Dorothy Travers Coii. coaches have been built and the newer ones have addi¬ tional facilities such as air conditioning, large scenic windows, air brakes, balloon tires, and storing compartments. In less than half an hour these coaches can be converted into huge ambulances, which will accommodate twenty stretcher cases in case of an emergency. Halifax is the home base of the four coaches, but from here they go out to a large number of other centres. Lockerby of Fortune Cove , Mrs. Dawson Quigley of Montrose , Miss Gertrude Feakes of Kildare , Mrs. Alvin Mountain , Mrs. Leander Donald , Mrs. Benjamin Dunbar , Mrs. Joseph Dunbar , Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith , all from Alma, Mrs. Lester Wallace , and Mrs. Nettie LePage of Cascumpec . They were accompanied by Mrs. Lloyd Wilkie and Mrs. Clayton Travers of the Rebekah Lodge . They were taken to Mr. Elmer Wallace 's shore where Mrs. C.R. Profitt , Miss Mabel Fielding and Mrs. Wesley Hardy were waiting to serve them ice cream and cake provided by the Lodge members. Miss Fielding joined them on the Coach for the return trip on which fifteen happy men and women were taken to their homes. Walter Callow Wheelchair Coach August 8, 1955 - Thirty-three people from Alberton and surrounding area ranging in age from nine years to one hundred and three enjoyed to an almost unbelievable degree, a ride in one of the Callow Wheelchair Coaches. Two trips were needed to accommodate those who could go. They were accompanied by two members of the Lodge. The bus driver was Mr. John Dunbar and , the hostess. The Callow buses came each year from 1956 to 1959 and picked up passengers from Alberton , Alberton South , South Kildare , Kildare Capes , Montrose , Alma, Elmsdale , 576
