THE HEAD-MACCORMACK FAMILY

William Ball took up 23 acres on Little Boughton Island at the same time as Joseph Allen leased another 23 acres. This was taken over by Anthony Head, son of English emigrant, Robert Head of Georgetown Royalty. Anthony, married Isabella Morrow of North Lake. They had six children. Daughter, Mary Ellen married John James MacCormack and they had six children: Elizabeth, John, Lemuel married Jennie Rafuse, Mary, Sarah and Clara who married Joseph Dalton. Mary Ellen at her death in 1921 had three brothers, John, Charles, Fade and sister Mary living in the United States.
