Joseph Henry came into the Williams home and are recorded as living there in the 1881 census.
Joseph H. Allen(Joe Henry) married lst Susanna Simons of Fortune, 2nd Elizabeth Rose. Joe Henry had four sons, George, Lemuel, Alva and James. Lemuel lived in Halifax with the Armed Forces in 1917. His wife died of wounds caused by glass from imploding windows in the Halifax Explosion. He moved back to Boughton Island with daughter Muriel in 1923. Muriel married lst Wendell MacKenzie, with whom she had three children, Eileen, Alan and Aurelia, 2nd Warren MacKenzie. Lem Allen, later living in Cardigan, disposed of his property on Boughton Island which by then consisted of practically the whole island and moved to Chilliwack, BC. with Muriel. In 2004, Muriel is living in a senior’s residence in Chilliwack.
Fred and Louise Allen had children: Malcolm(Mac), Emma, Pearl, Ruby, Vivian, Mae, Beth, John and William.
THE GOTELL FAMILY
Joseph and Emily Gotell moved to Boughton Island and lived with Nathaniel Allen. They had a son Kimball Nathan Gotell. who married Elizabeth (Babe) McQuillan of Georgetown. They raised 10 children: Dan(Marlene), Sask. Perry(Patsy), Emi|y(Floyd) Jenkins, Cindy(Don) Roberts, Gordie(Trina), Billy(Suzanne), Lilla(Sean) Scully, Kimberley(Scott) Lavandier, Tammy (Joe) McConnell and Carter(Amy). Kimball was predeceased by parents, Joe and Emily, brothers Joseph, Gordon, Basil and sister Mary.
THE KING FAMILY
John F. Allen married Fanny Allen, both of Boughton Island at Georgetown in 1886. Their daughter, Edna married Dan King, born in Milltown Cross, son of George King. Children:
Frances, married lst Charles Watts. One child, Beulah, 2nd Frank Bradley.
Lloyd married Margaret Curtis.
Beulah married Newton O’Connor.
John married Elizabeth Grant. They had six children: 1. Ian,
