Their family, James at age 70 in 2004, lives between Port Perry, Ont and Florida. Frank is in Toronto, Genevieve, Mrs. Jessom, lives in Borden. Gerard is in Whitby, Ont. Father Pat died as pastor in Montague and John is in St. John. The only PElslander left is Genevieve, Jennie Jessom. They have four children, Anna Marie, Patrick, Sherri and Shawn and 7 grandchildren. Jennie‘s mother, Mary I. later married George Kennedy of New Perth. She and George Kennedy are now deceased.

George McCormack of Boughton Island, age 35, accidentally, while crossing on the ice with his horse between Burnt Point & Boughton Island.
Roderick McLeIlan’s diary has this entry: 1911, March 17, St. Patrick’s Day. George McCormack of Boughton Island was found dead on the ice at South Side, De Gros Marsh this morning.
Birth records show George MacCormack‘s parents as: mother, Isabella and father’s name blank.
THE ALLEN FAMILY
In 1818 Sir James and Robert Montgomery leased 204 acres to Joseph Allen on the South side, 16 chains from land leased to Hugh MacCormack. In 1846 a further 23 acres were leased to Joseph Allen on the North side of Little Boughton Island. He married Elizabeth Coffin of Savage Hbr. They had 15 children. After Elizabeth died he married Ann Simons and they had three more children.
Joseph Allen had a younger sister, Elspeth who married William Williams who also emigrated to PEI and died in Little River in 1877. Their son William Allen Williams came to Boughton Island. The three younger children of pioneer Joseph, Catherine, Ellen and
