The snow banks are settling, the fields are getting bare, the weather is becoming milder and ever thing appears more springlilre. auiing is in a backward condition. owing to former deep snow and stormy weather.

Our merchants Messrs J A Rob ertson and S Beaton are doing a

rushing business and have secured a goodly supply of dry goods.grocer- ies, etc, to meet the demands of the public.

Bonshaw school is progressing un- der the able and efficient manage- ment of Mr Mal McKenzie, Canoe Cove.

Owing to the bad condition of the roads there was no service on Sabbath last in either Presbyterian 03 Baptist churches as was__expect- e .

We notiCe the contractors for the building of the Bonshaw bridge have begun hauling the lumber, etc, for it. and We hope that ere long the work of construction will be completed.

Try Again Division 8 O T is in a flourishing state and new members are being added at most every night of meeting. The meetings are largely attended,.whlch goes toshow that the people at Bonshaw and vicinity have the temperance senti- ment at heart. Messrs Alexander McDonald rand: Donald Gordon, the two delegates recently appointed to visit the Di vision at Mount Herbert, report said division strong in the cause of ten- perance, and they only regreted the absence of the worthy Patriarch on the occasion of their visit.

Mr Peter Gordon spent Sunday

Mr John O’Brien has recently disposed of his va'uable trotting
